FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who can participate in the Regatta?

The event is exclusively for employees of the Greek and International Maritime Industry.

Are guests allowed?

Yes! Each participant may bring one guest, who can be an adult or a child (6 years or older).

Is there a participation fee?

No, the event is completely free for all participants and their guests. This includes the race, accommodation onboard, and meals as per the itinerary.

Why is there no participation fee?

We use the Regatta as a key marketing opportunity, allocating our advertising budget to this event, along with the valuable contribution of our sponsors. We invest in creating a unique experience that strengthens industry connections, promotes goodwill, and reinforces our brand within the maritime community, rather than traditional promotional methods.

Do I need sailing experience to participate?

No sailing experience is required! The event is open to everyone, regardless of their skill level. Professional skippers will be provided for all boats, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. You can take part in the sailing as much or as little as you like—whether you want to actively participate or simply enjoy the ride, the choice is yours!

How are the sleeping arrangements?

Each sailing boat has 4-5 double cabins and accommodates up to 10 people, and the skipper. Each participant is assigned a double cabin and may share it with their guest. If a participant does not invite a guest, they will have the cabin to themselves. Bedding and towels will be provided on board.

How are the teams formulated?

Participants from the same company will be grouped on the same boat (max 10 people including each participant’s guest) unless preferred otherwise.  In case of empty cabins, they may be filled by participants from other companies.

If you are joining with friends from other companies and would like to be on the same boat, please email us with your request, and we will do our best to accommodate it.

Otherwise, individual participants will be grouped to ensure a balanced and enjoyable experience!

Can I request to be on the same boat as my friends/colleagues?

Yes, of course! Each participant must fill out the registration form individually to provide their contact details and consent. However, you are welcome to send us an email listing the people you’d like to be on the same boat with, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request. Please contact us at [email protected].
